Are you experiencing tooth pain, sensitivity, swelling, bleeding, or cracked or chipped teeth? If so, you may need emergency dental care.

Everyone will experience a little bit of tooth sensitivity from time to time from cracking a toothpick. Yet if you notice any of these signs, you should take it as a red flag. The longer you stay in pain, the more damage you risk causing.

So read on for more information on signs that you may need emergency dental care today.

1. Toothaches Can Get Worst

If you experience any of the following signs, you may need emergency dental care: temperature sensitivity, intense pain, swelling in the gums or jaw, and an infected tooth.

If you have a toothache, it is important to go to a general dentistry service as soon as possible to determine the cause of the pain and to develop a plan to address it. If you have an infection, it could spread to other parts of your body if left untreated. Swelling could also be a sign of an abscess, which is a serious infection.

2. Bleeding Gums

If you have bleeding gums, it is important to see a dentist right away. While bleeding gums can be due to several things, such as brushing too hard or gingivitis, it can also be a sign of a more serious condition.

If you have bleeding gums and are also experiencing pain, swelling, or redness in your gums, you may need emergency dental care.

3. Fractured, Chipped, or Knocked-Out Teeth

Knocked-out teeth, fractured teeth, and chipped teeth are all signs that you need emergency dental care. If you have any of these problems, it is important to see a dentist as soon as possible.

A knocked-out tooth can be a serious injury, and a dentist can determine if the tooth can be saved or not. A fractured tooth can potentially be dangerous, and a dentist can assess whether or not the tooth can be preserved. A chipped tooth may not be as serious, but it is still important to get it checked.

4. Symptoms of an Infection

If you experience any of the following dental problems, you may need emergency dental care: toothache that gets worse over time or is accompanied by fever, swelling in the gums, face, or jaw, facial trauma, persistent bad breath, loose teeth, the inability to chew or bite properly, and pain when eating or drinking

If you have any of these symptoms, it’s important to go to the dentist as soon as possible. An infection in your mouth can quickly become serious and lead to complications such as abscesses or cellulitis.

Don’t Skip Your Emergency Dental Care

If you experience any of the above signs, it’s important to seek emergency dental care right away. In many cases, emergency dental care can save your tooth or teeth and prevent further damage and pain.

So make sure to have a place in mind to go and prepare your budget or insurance ahead of time to lessen your worries in case this happens.
